I am a motivated and resourceful full-stack web developer with a passion for solving problems and helping people succeed. I have 10 years of experience working effectively in teams and engaging with stakeholders.
My work with nonprofits served as an unexpected introduction to web development and allowed me to dabble in a bit of coding. I asked myself, “Is there a way for me to go deeper and possibly work as a web developer?” This question led me to General Assembly (GA). Their Full-Stack Web Developer Immersive bootcamp was the fastest way for me to learn what web development entails and to change careers to the exciting developer world.
I am thrilled with the opportunity to use and improve upon the skills gained at GA by working for a mission-minded organization! Check out my work and contact me below.
This is my capstone project at GA. Beaux-Ties is an e-commerce site where a user can view, add to a wishlist, and add to/remove from a shopping cart bowties. I utilized the front-end framework, Ember.js, and built the API with Ruby on Rails. I wanted to challenge myself and execute this project using a front-end framework that was briefly introduced in class and have a more complex API.
View ProjectThis was my first full-stack project. Users can create, read, update, and delete journal entries about their travels across the USA. The API was built with Ruby on Rails and PostgreSQL with a one-to-many relationship. I implemented Handlebars.js on the front-end.
View ProjectThis was a group project with an international team. Bucket List allows a user to create and track their life goals in an easy-to-use way. New technologies used include Express, Node.js, Mongoose, and MongoDB for building the API.
